Easton Grey Parish Church

The village of Easton Grey is situated in a deep green hollow with a stream meandering by under five old stone arches.

The church at the top of the hill has a humble ancient west tower, but the remainder of the building is dated 1836.  The Gothic windows with four-centred arches may well be later.  The font is a moulded bowl of the 13th century, and there is a Jacobean pulpit with back panel and tester.  The rustic monuments date from the 17th and 18th centuries.  Painted flowers and angels decorate the tiny sanctuary and the west end of the nave.

The church is always open for people to enjoy, and the church’s special atmosphere combined with the idyllic woodland setting make it a popular venue for weddings.
